Product Analyst Location: Whitehouse Station, NJ Relocation offered: No Visa Sponsorship: No Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p Status: Exempt Supervisory: No Reports to: Director of Product Management Key Attributes: Managing day to day tasks as well as long term strategic initiatives Analytical mindset capable of understanding financials, pricing strategies, costs, margins, and project valuation methods and metrics to make recommendations which improve the top and bottom lines Excellent time management skills while ensuring the accuracy of work; as many of the tasks are time sensitive and business critical Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. The individual will need to work effectively both independently as well as with the broader organization and external stakeholders; will work regularly with customers, customer service, and sales on the commercial side as well as internally with R&D, finance, regulatory, and the operations teams. Responsibilities Assist with running the Food Service and Industrial Business Units Managing day to day tasks as well as long term strategic initiatives Support product life cycle through market intelligence gathering including product concept, trial, launch, commercialization, maturity, and rationalization Ongoing analysis of product line profitability, tail pricing analyses, and areas for margin improvement Recommend pricing for new opportunities, adjustments due to changes in material and overhead costs as well as competitive price pressures Project valuation modeling Assist marketing department with content for product literature Organize and update sales support portal with documents such as price lists, SDSs, technical data sheets, and regulatory documents Coordinate customer complaint from submission to corrective action and determine the cost and customer relationship impacts Coordinate set up forms and customer regulatory questionnaires Contribute to and organize monthly sales reports Assist with quarterly sales forecasts and annual budgets Support commercial team with general customer product inquiries Member of the Engineering Change Request (ECR) team which manages quality, specification, packaging, and label changes Assist finance with order release, AR collection, and payment term management Review R&D analytical reports before release to the commercial team to ensure alignment with corporate objectives Qualifications Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Finance, Business, or equivalent, MBA preferred 1-5 years of experience in a business or business support role Driven, leading by example, excellent execution and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills Organized with excellent time management skills
